The choreography of friendship across geography.

This month marks four years since we officially came together as Mother Wild and kickstarted the most incredible adventure, connecting us with mothers from all corners of the world and all 6,000 timezones. As a community, you've made us double over with laughter, cry healing tears, and reimagine what a happy & healthy motherhood can look like over and over again.

We're really just getting started. This community has taken shape because of your willingness to take up space. And that inspires us to keep growing. As our lives and our children get bigger, dancing the timezone tango to stay connected involves some tricky choreography. But, when we find the rhythm of our own beat, dancing just comes naturally.

Confession: one of our most beloved group chats that we keep behind the scenes is called "MW fucking shit up." This might sound like our rebellious rally cry against oppressive motherhood norms, but in reality it is the place we go to reset our nervous system with a bout of giggles each time one of us makes a cringy public facing mistake.

And trust me, we keep that chat very active.

The learning curve of cultivating the growth of a our small global-mama business alongside the growth of our children, partnerships, marriage, friendships, and ourselves is an enigmatically windy path with no real roadmap or end destination. Marketing experts, business coaches, and social media gurus offer limitless tips for successful 'mom'trepreneurship, yet no amount of expertise in business can replace the deep knowing of our bodies. The longer we do this, the more we've come to deeply understand that the only reliable guide is the compass we each carry inside. And that compass always points towards honoring our capacity and making genuine connections.

When we first came together as Mother Wild, we promised each other from the outset that we will run our business from a place of alignment and fun. We will honor our own needs alongside the needs of the business. We will define success in terms that are most meaningful to each of us. We will seek to add value to as many moms lives that we can in ways that are light and delightful in a world that places enormous burdens on the shoulders of exhausted mothers. We will place value on our time and energy. We will keep showing up and growing up honestly and authentically. And above all, we will keep relationships at the center of everything we do, fully knowing that real wealth comes from having a community of supportive and inspiring people to fly alongside through the seasons of life.

Our official unofficial agreements with each other at Mother Wild.

Over the last four years we have each had to stay in constant conversation about what it means to run a business that adds value, both to us and the mothers we connect with. Each month we learn a little bit more about ourselves, a little bit more about each other, and a lot about what does and does not feel generative and meaningful to us. Here are some truths:

Followers don't matter as much as relationships. An overstuffed inbox does not make anyone happier. Optics don't matter at the expense of joy. We all crave breathing room. More laughter and more rest will always be more meaningful than clout. And MW fucking shit up again and again will be inevitable as long as we keep learning and growing authentically.

We love this community and feel such deep appreciation for all the ways you support us and let us support you.

Thanks for dancing alongside us,

Tasha & Mother Wild Xx
